CATS Academy Boston introduced its girls’ volleyball program in 2018 and, having seen the girls achieve considerable success, developed a boys’ program in 2019. Our volleyball programs offers opportunities for competitive, interscholastic play, and a chance for students to develop their skills in a fun, supportive environment.
CATS Academy Boston’s boys’ volleyball program was founded in the spring of 2019, following the success of the girls’ program. After functioning as a club program for a couple of years, the boys’ team elevated to a full season program in 2022. In 2023, CATS Academy Boston joined forces with Boston University Academy, The International School of Boston, and the British International School of Boston to establish the Boys’ Volleyball League (BVL).
The team made an immediate impact, winning the inaugural BVL Championship in 2023 with a perfect 8-0 record. Building on that success, the boys’ team captured a second league title in 2024 and finished as league runners-up in 2025. In addition to BVL competition, the team also faces local public and charter schools from across the greater Boston area.

Head Volleyball Coach for Girls’ Team
Back in High School, Kaitlyn played four years of Varsity Volleyball as the Libero and Captain. Using her volleyball knowledge, experience and passion for the game, she continued at the University of New Hampshire at club level. Wanting to share her volleyball expertise, she took up the Head Coaching position at CATS Academy Boston. The 2024 season was her debut as a Varsity Head Coach. Kaitlyn enjoys watching her team of knowledgeable and energetic girls grow into strategic and astounding players.
