The course will combine lessons, lectures, workshops and visits to enable students to thoroughly prepare their U.S college applications and aim for the Ivy League. *18 year old students are only accepted as part of a group where all students are returning to secondary education in September 2025. 18 year olds must follow all school rules as minors. Separate rules apply regarding lessons and activities, please enquire.
The course will combine lessons, lectures, workshops and visits to enable students to thoroughly
prepare their U.S college applications and aim for the Ivy League. Lessons will develop each of
the four English language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing in the context of the TOEFL exam. Opportunities to develop knowledge of vocabulary and grammar will also be incorporated.
There will be a focus on the SAT exam and students will have the opportunity to analyse typical questions and practise active listening and essay writing skills. Lectures will cover areas to support students in choosing the correct university path including financial planning and scholarships. Workshops are designed to help participants develop their confidence and personal skills and take a targeted approached to completing applications. The programme will also include visits to Harvard University and the Historic Freedom Trail.

Students on this course will enjoy one full day excursion per week. Destinations may include Boston, Rhode Island and Canobie Lake Park. Evening activities are varied and fun and may include discos, talent shows and international evenings.
