College Counselling Preparation Program Overview

Transferring into Grade 12 in the U.S. can be challenging even for the most dedicated students, and the college admissions process can seem complicated. At CATS Academy Boston we have successfully helped hundreds of Grade 12 transfer students graduate to the college or university of their dreams. In order to do this, it is necessary for these students to join our dedicated College Counseling Preparation Program two weeks before regular classes commence to get a head start on understanding and preparing for university applications and  progression.

    Compulsory for all Grade 12 transfer students

    $4,725 (September 2027 entry)

What You Can Expect From The Course

By taking part in the College Counseling Preparation Program, students will:

  • Meet with the Head of School & College Counseling team before the start of the semester
  • Create their dream university/college list
  • Design their “six-year plan”
  • Receive guidance on the application process in the U.S
  • Become familiar with our College Counseling software
  • Learn what top colleges and universities are looking for in applicants
  • Visit top U.S universities such as Harvard, MIT and Boston University
  • Practice writing their personal essay
  • Refine their resume
  • Interview preparation, including mock interview practice
  • Participate in career tests and evaluate the outcomes
  • Take part in fun activities and trips
  • Explore the city of Boston
