CATS Academy Boston’s athletic department strives to provide an exciting athletic experience for all students that attend the school. Our aim is to allow students an opportunity to be active, express themselves outside of the classroom and compete in interscholastic competition with schools around the New England region.

Here at CATS Academy Boston our athletics department prides itself on working to achieve the total development of the student-athlete in coordination with the school’s mission.  With an emphasis on sportsmanship, trust, cooperation, teamwork and respect for others, we work to promote the best environment for our student-athletes to take risks and develop their skills and personal values.

CATS has worked to develop a program that offers its students the opportunity to compete in interscholastic competition, while also learning and developing their skills. As a full member of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC), CATS competes within multiple leagues including the Girls Independent League (GIL) and the Southeastern New England Independent School Athletic Association (SENE). Competing within the GIL and SENE allows our students the opportunity to travel and compete around the New England region, including in Boston, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Western Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

CATS offers boys and girls soccer, Co-Ed cross country, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls volleyball and Co-Ed ultimate frisbee. All of those sports compete within the NEPSAC, on various levels. We also offer high level, high school academy hockey through our partnership with the American Hockey Academy, which began in 2021. Our hockey program plays a national schedule and offers opportunities for boys and girls with teams across multiple levels. We are working to provide more athletic offerings in the future, as well.

We hope to see you here, joining Griffin Nation!
