Athletic clubs

Athletics at CATS Academy will help keep you active and healthy while enhancing your leadership and team building skills. CATS has its own onsite gymnasium and fitness centre, which serve as the main facilities for all indoor athletics, including basketball, handball, futsal and cheerleading. It also has a multipurpose field on campus, used for soccer, ultimate frisbee and other athletics events throughout the course of the school year. As associate members of the NEPSAC (New England Private School Athletic Commission), you can compete against other local schools in soccer, basketball, and volleyball and try a range of different sports.

Academic clubs

Academic clubs will challenge and develop your academic abilities. This will give you the opportunity to work with students from other schools in national competitions, taking part in the Model United Nations or entering national competitions as part of the DECA or Math Club.

Our academic clubs


Youth CITIES is a non-profit orgnization in Boston that runs two well-known programs for students, outside the traditional classroom. 

L3 Innovation Challenge has students work with professionals in the field of medical technology development. Students design projects for seven weeks and present them in a competition before a panel of distinguished judges. March-to-May Boot Camp has students work with venture capital professionals and entrepreneurs to develop a new product over ten weeks, which is then presented competitively before a panel of judges. Weekly sessions for Youth CITIES programs are held near MIT, with presenters and mentors often part of the MIT academic community.


DECA Club is open to students who want to learn about business. Members compete in role-plays or tests written by the national organization. Competition is organized by states, and districts within states. DECA trains students in four main areas: Finance, Management, Marketing, and Hospitality. CATS DECA Club have been to DECA conferences at Harvard, MIT and other universities in the Boston area.

Model United Nations (MUN) Club

Model United Nations (MUN) Club is an exciting opportunity to think about and experience international diplomacy between nation states. In MUN Club students have the opportunity to take on the role of representing a nation as it participates in and negotiates agreements around current and historical international issues. This year MUN Club have been to conferences at Harvard, Princeton and MIT.

Math Club

As part of math club you will have the opportunity to tryout and enter national math competitions such as the International Mathematics Competition. Weekly you will get together with like minded people to solve mathematical problems.

Robotics Club

Situated in the CATS innovation lab. Robotics club uses technology and coding to create and experiment with robotic mechanisms.

Creative clubs

If you are more interested in art or music the creative clubs at CATS Academy will feed your creativity. You can be part of the musical; produce, direct and star in your own production; design and make your own clothes; write articles for the school newspaper; make videos for the student Youtube channel or be part of the social media club.

Twice a year you can be part of a spectacular collaboration between the music, drama and fashion departments. One of the highlights of the academic year the musical plays to the strength of our community. Students of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds come together to work on stage and behind the scenes to create a performance open to the local community. A truly inspirational extracurricular activity.

CATS Academy Courier

The CATS Academy Courier is a school newspaper promoting the free exchange of student views, observations and ideas on an array of topics. You will research and write monthly articles addressing current issues and events at CATS Academy Boston. Click here to see the latest news and articles.

Art Club

Led by our talented art teachers, art club is available to you if you want to learn new techniques, work together on different projects or simply relax after school.


A typical American high school tradition made by the students for the students. The yearbook is sold at the end of the year, full of photographs, memories and quotes from student and faculty to record, highight and commemorate the past year at CATS Academy.

Fashion Club

This club gives you the opportunity to learn how to design clothes, choose fabrics, cutting and construction.
