A passionate STEM student, AJ will be joining Cornell University College of Engineering to pursue a major in either Electrical and Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Artificial Intelligence.

AJ’s academic journey at CATS Academy Boston has been defined by an extraordinary aptitude for advanced STEM study. During his time at the school, AJ has undertaken the most advanced courseload available at CATS Academy Boston, completing fourteen Advanced Placement (AP) courses and five Honors courses.
During Grade 11, AJ returned to his home in Thailand to conduct full-time semiconductor physics research focused on perovskite photovoltaics and radiative-cooling materials, where he contributed to multiple ongoing projects and publications.
Curious, hard-working and ambitious, AJ has dedicated himself to expanding his knowledge in the STEM fields by taking undergraduate and early graduate-level coursework from prestigious educational programs such as the Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Talented Youth, Stanford University’s University-Level Online Math & Physics, Northwestern University Center for Talent Development, and Beaver Works Summer Institute at MIT.
Reflecting on his time at CATS Academy Boston, AJ said:
“CATS gave me unbelievable freedom and trust to pursue learning at the depth I cared about most. I can’t imagine another school that would go to the lengths CATS did to allow me to delve into advanced coursework and real research. Faculty members in the mathematics department, particularly Dr. Mustapha Coker and Mr. Terry Carter, have gone above and beyond to support me in my endeavors and it has truly been my home for the past few years. I’m wholeheartedly grateful for the mentorship I received during the application process, especially from my college counselor, Ms. Sarah Hoffman, who genuinely cared for my character and closely supported me every step of the way! I’m incredibly humbled and couldn’t be more thankful for this outcome.”
