Amherst College Acceptance

Aaniva

Progressed to Amherst College (Ranked #2 Best Liberal Arts College In U.S)

Joining CATS Academy Boston in Grade 11 through the North American Hockey Academy (NAHA), Aaniva has successfully managed the demands of an intensive academic schedule alongside elite-level hockey training, demonstrating resilience, discipline, and focus.

Aaniva’s academic record reflects both rigor and intellectual curiosity. She completed an outstanding total of 11 Advanced Placement courses and earned the College Board AP Scholar Award with Distinction in 2025. Beyond the classroom, she sought opportunities to deepen her interest in medicine and scientific research, including shadowing an emergency room doctor as part of a research initiative and participating in the Tufts Pre-College Research Science Lab Investigations Program.

Her contributions on the ice were equally impressive: as a key member of the NAHA team, she played an instrumental role in securing the 2025–2026 Junior Women’s Hockey League championship. In recognition of her academic excellence, she was also awarded the 2026 NAHA AP Cup.

Reflecting on her time at CATS Academy Boston, Aaniva said:

“My past two years at CATS/NAHA have contributed to tremendous growth across various aspects of my life, allowing me to pursue athletic and academic excellence in an environment filled with community and diversity. I am so excited to start at Amherst College in the fall, and because of my experience here, I know I am well-prepared for success after I graduate.”
