CATS Academy Boston has partnered with Foundation Education Group to offer an exclusive elite college preparation program designed for ambitious, high-achieving students with their sights set on the nation’s most prestigious universities.

Tailored for exceptional learners in Grades 9 to 12, this rigorous program provides a framework that empowers students to cultivate the academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, and leadership qualities sought by Ivy League and other top-tier U.S. institutions. Through a carefully structured progression of workshops and individualized mentorship, participants will be guided by Senior College Admissions Counselors and former Admissions Officers from renowned universities, gaining invaluable insights from professionals who have an impressive history of success in helping students secure places at Ivy League and other top-ranked U.S. colleges and universities. 

Ivy Plus is more than a counseling program—it is a journey of preparation, distinction, and aspiration, equipping students to present themselves as compelling, well-rounded candidates at the very highest level.

Ivy Plus Framework

At the core of the Ivy Plus Program is a tailored framework that ensures every student builds a profile that reflects both achievement and their individuality.

Students receive expert mentorship in exploring colleges and majors, enabling them to create a focused, strategic college list while gaining a clear understanding of the unique requirements of each institution. With individualized coaching in essay writing and interview preparation, students learn how to craft a powerful personal narrative—a distinctive “hook” that captures their unique strengths and ensures their application makes a lasting impression on admissions officers.

Students will be mentored by an experienced and specialized team who, together, have over 30 years experience in college admissions consulting in some of the United States’ top universities, and hold Master’s degrees from Harvard University and Columbia University.

Selection Process

High achieving students who wish to join the Ivy Plus Program will be required to:

1. Submit an application which will be reviewed by a panel of committee members consisting of a Counselor from the Foundation Education Group and a Former Admissions Officer from an elite U.S. college

2. The top applicants will advance to an in-person or recorded interview

3. Successful students will then be invited to join the Ivy Plus Program and begin their preparation towards achieving a place at the university or college of their dreams

Ivy Plus for students in Grades 9-10

Ambitious students in Grades 9 and 10 will embark on the Planning Module, a carefully designed program supported by expert mentorship that centers on three essential pillars: Academic Excellence, Extracurricular Engagement, and College Readiness Preparation.

Through a dynamic combination of group workshops and personalized sessions, students will be guided toward meaningful academic and extracurricular opportunities—such as research projects, competitions,
internships, summer programs, and leadership experiences—that not only enrich their personal growth but also strengthen the foundation of their college applications.

With Ivy League and other top-ranked universities admitting only the most exceptional candidates, this early preparation is vital in ensuring students build a compelling and competitive profile capable of rising to the challenge of elite admissions.

Ivy Plus for students in Grade 11 - 12

Students in Grade 11 aspiring to attend an Ivy League college or a top-tier U.S university will enter the Application Module, a program designed to strengthen every element of their college profile. With up to 80 hours of personalized guidance from expert mentors, students receive unmatched support which continues into Grade 12 as they submit their applications.

The program focuses on strengthening academic distinction through Advanced Placement courses, standardized testing, and a range of scholarly pursuits, including academic competitions, independent research, and opportunities for publishing work that showcases intellectual depth. Alongside these achievements, students will also build leadership and extracurricular accomplishments that highlight their individuality and ambition.

Through a powerful combination of group workshops and intensive one-to-one coaching, students gain the skills and confidence to craft standout applications, from compelling essays to polished interview performance—ensuring they are fully prepared for one of the most competitive admissions
processes in the world.
