Brandon Pare

Throughout my career, I have worked as a counselor, camp and after-school coordinator, recreation coordinator, community director, activities coordinator at an early college preparatory school, and area coordinator in higher education. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Assumption University. My favorite age group to mentor is middle school through high school students. As a student at CATS Academy Boston, you will feel like more than just a resident or a number in a classroom, you will feel like a respected member of our community.

What brought me to CATS Academy Boston is the incredible opportunity this school provides for its students. The school’s size, location, and staff-to-student ratio create an experience that most students never have the chance to enjoy. Because of the school’s close-knit environment, I am able to get to know each student personally and better support them as they transition toward greater independence and prepare for college.

One thing I love about working in residential communities is creating spaces where students and staff actively contribute to building a positive and supportive environment. My goal is to foster a culture where everyone feels respected, valued, and welcomed. As a community, we strive for growth, not only as individuals but also as a collective. I enjoy creating activities and events that are fun, address student interests and needs, and provide opportunities for personal development. I am a big gamer, whether it’s video games, board games, or sports, and I often bring that passion into the events I plan for our community.

Two of my favorite quotes come from mentors who have had a lasting impact on me. The first is, “You train for the worst, and everything else is a piece of cake.” The second is, “It should just be fun.” These quotes embody my approach to my work. My goal is to prepare students for whatever challenges they may face while making the journey enjoyable and rewarding.

Thank you for choosing CATS Academy Boston. I look forward to an exciting, fun, and successful year with all of you!
