CATS Academy Boston is proud to celebrate the achievements of 25 outstanding students who have been recognized with the prestigious College Board AP Scholar Award. This honor reflects their exceptional performance on Advanced Placement (AP) exams and showcases the college-level mastery, commitment, and academic excellence our students consistently strive for.
The AP Scholar Awards are presented across three tiers of recognition:
- AP Scholar with Distinction: Awarded to students with an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more exams.
- AP Scholar with Honor: Awarded to students with an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more exams.
- AP Scholar: Awarded to students who score 3 or higher on three or more exams.
This year, we are delighted to announce that 10 students earned AP Scholar with Distinction, two students received AP Scholar with Honor, and 13 students achieved the AP Scholar Award.
Adding to this success, two Grade 12 students were recognized with the newly introduced School Recognition Award, which celebrates academic excellence within a school community. To qualify, students must score among the top 10% of their high school’s test takers on the PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 and/or earn a 3+ on two or more AP exams by Grade 10.
We are also thrilled to share that one of our Grade 12 students has been accepted into the College Board’s BigFuture Ambassadors Program for Fall 2025—a prestigious opportunity to connect with peers, share college resources, and represent the student voice in shaping future pathways to higher education.
These remarkable accomplishments would not be possible without the dedication of our experienced faculty. At CATS Academy Boston, our teachers provide expert guidance, tailored support, and a passion for inspiring learning that empowers students to rise to the challenge of AP courses and exams. Their commitment ensures that every student has the tools, confidence, and encouragement to reach their full potential—and to take the next step toward success at the world’s top universities.
