Elina joined CATS Academy Boston in Grade 10 and has actively diversified her college application through a blend of academics and
extracurriculars. Balancing 11 Advanced Placement and Honors courses with her passion for music, dance and theater, she has actively
contributed to the school community as a leader in Student Government and through the creation of local and international service projects.

Sarah Hoffman, College Counselor at CATS Boston said: “Elina has been an extraordinary leader during her three years at CATS. She has been an outstanding scholar in our highest level of classes, earning one of the few perfect 4.0 GPAs. Creatively she has been an enthusiastic participant in our theater, dance and music productions. She runs the Student Government Association and National Honor Society like a skilled adult, organized, insightful and motivational. At CATS she has been a beacon of social justice, creating local and international service projects, like an Amnesty International writing campaign.”

Talking about her experience at CATS Academy Boston, Elina said: “CATS Academy college counseling program and the teachers were a huge help in the process of choosing and getting admitted to the college of my dreams. Whenever I was conflicted or unsure if a university I chose would be a good fit for me, I found support in my college counselor and my teachers. Additionally, Minerva University is a very tough school to get admitted to and the admission process was complicated, but with great guidance it was much easier for me to complete the application and get in.”
